The Regional School District #12 Board of Education selected Ms. Megan Bennett as their next superintendent of schools. Ms. Bennett will begin her tenure on July 1, 2018.

Ms. Bennett has a deep understanding of K-12 teaching and learning which is illustrated by her work in Southington, Rocky Hill, and Taunton, MA as an elementary school principal and her districtwide leadership work in both Taunton, MA and Hartford, CT.”

Ms. Bennett is presently completing her sixth year as the principal of Thalberg Elementary School in Southington.
The hiring process included the community voice represented by 18 focus meetings and an online survey which was available to all stakeholders.
Dr. Joseph Erardi, of JE Consulting, assisted the hiring committee which reviewed 20 applications for the opening.
